Susan Golubock, M.Ed., OTR/L

Susan received her Master of Education in Special Education Technology, summa cum laude from George Mason University . Sue received her Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy, magna cum laude from Western Michigan University .

 

Sue, who was diagnosed with Asperger's in her 50's, has worked over 33 years as an occupational therapist, primarily in school-based practice, but also as a university instructor, contract therapist, private practitioner, and pre-school teacher/director. Her primary area of focus has been on the impact of sensory processing differences on performance in the school setting. She has spent the last 8 years focusing almost entirely on the needs of students on the autism spectrum, with all levels of challenges. Susan earned her M.Ed. degree in Assistive Technology in 1995.

Today, Susan works as a private contractor, providing services to children and adults with sensory processing differences. In addition, Susan is known as a local and national speaker with the goal of bridging the gap of understanding that occurs between those who process sensory experiences differently. Susan is active in both local and national autism advocacy groups. Susan recently completed the course on Therapeutic Listening so as to better understand, and work with, the auditory processing differences in the clients she serves.
