Meet Our Staff
Music Therapist Debi Kret-Melton, MM, MT-BC, NMT Master of Music Music Therapist-Board Certified Neurologic Music Therapist Debi has been a music therapist for more than 15 years and has worked with special needs individuals of all ages in all stages of life. In her role as program director for music therapy in the Scottsdale School District, she developed a curriculum for a multi-sensory approach to support communication, language and literacy goals. This methodology has been used to meet the sensory needs of each individual in the group setting and allowing each child to participate to the fullest extent. Music therapy sessions include opportunities for fine and gross-motor development, social interactions and sensory fulfillment as well as visual, tactile and auditory input in a fun and motivating environment.
Occupational Therapist
Susan received her Master of Education in Special Education Technology, summa cum laude from George Mason University. She received her Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy, magna cum laude from Western Michigan University. Sue, who was diagnosed with Asperger's in her 50's, has worked over 33 years as an occupational therapist. Her primary area of focus has been on the impact of sensory processing differences on performance in the school setting. She has spent the last 8 years focusing almost entirely on the needs of students on the autism spectrum. Today, Susan works as a private contractor, providing services to children and adults with sensory processing differences. In addition, Susan is known as a local and national speaker with the goal of bridging the gap of understanding that occurs between those who process sensory experiences differently.
Speech Therapist
Stefanie Meyer, M.S., CF-SLP Stefanie received her Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology from Arizona State University and her Bachelor of Science in Communication Disorders from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Stefanie has worked with young children and adolescents diagnosed with various communication disorders including: autism, dysphagia, developmental delays, fluency disorders, language disorders, and articulation disorders. Her current interests include autism, sensory feeding issues, and parent education regarding early language development. Staci Neustadt, M.S., CCC-SLP Staci received her Master of Science in Speech Pathology from Arizona State University and her Bachelor of Science in Communication Disorder from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Staci has worked with children that have various disabilities including Autism, Cerebral Palsy, and Down Syndrome. Staci's specialized skills including working with Alternative Augmentative Communication such as devices, PECs, and communication boards. Ricardo Rocha, M.S., CFY Ricardo received his Master of Science in Speech Pathology as well as his Bachelor of Arts in Special Education from Arizona State University. Ricardo's specialized training and expertise includes, behavior management, communication books, and developing home programs. Lillian Vosa, M.S., CF-SLP Lillie received her Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology from Arizona State University and her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from New Mexico State University. Lillie has experience working with children and adults with a range of communication disorders in the schools, rehabilitation settings, and private clinic settings. Within these settings she has worked with individuals with autism, speech and language delays, Down syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, developmental delays, fluency disorders, and dysphagia. Her current interests include Autism, sensory feeding issues, partnering with parents in the treatment process, and incorporating music and art into therapy. Speech Assistants Peggy Ash, B.S., SLPA Peggy received her Bachelor of Science in Communication Disorders from Utah State University. Peggy works with childern with a variety of diagnoses. She has good rapport with her clients and is creative with therapy ideas. Peggy also works at Pieceful Solutions, a charter school for children with Autism. She is good at developing a variety of means of communication depending on the needs of the child. Heather Beauvais, B.S, SLPA Heather received her Bachelor of Science in Speech and Hearing Science from Arizona State University. She graduated Summa Cum Laude and is certified through the state of Arizona as a Speech Language Pathology Assistant. She is a member of Golden Key International Honours Society and the National Student Speech Language and Hearing Association. She has a passion for providing care and support for children and adults with a variety of communication disorders, including Autism Spectrum Disorders. She prides herself in her ability to connect with both the children and caregivers creating a safe and encouraging atmosphere that will promote development in both social and emotional skills. Andra Flynn, B.A., SLPA Andrea was born and raised in Tempe, Arizona. She grew up with the passion to work with kids from an early age. She later attended Arizona State University where she graduated with a B.A in Communications. After college, Andrea, studied the Speech Language Pathology Assistant program at Estrella Mountain Community College. She completed the SLPA license with a 4.0 GPA and began working in the field. Andrea has been working with children that have an array of disabilities in a variety of settings, which include: home health, clinical, and school settings. She has worked with children with a variety of diagnoses, which include Autism Spectrum Disorders, Cognitive disability, Angelman's Syndrome, and Down Syndrome to name a few. She also has experience working with kids and teens that have social/emotional and developmental disabilities. Crystal Jones, M.A. -SLP Crystal received her Bachelor of Science degree in Communication Disorders from New Mexico State University and holds an Advance Graduate degree in Educational Psychology/Counseling from Prairie View A&M University. She is currently completing her second Advance Graduate degree in Communication Science and Disorders from Nova Southeastern University.
Crystal has been working with children and youth with disabilities in a variety of settings including home health, group homes, public and private schools Pre-K through high school, college and clinical settings for 8 years. She has experiences in development, implementation of educational and functional communication treatment plans, counseling and educating families in the areas of communication and behavioral disorders.
Crystal's clinical areas of interest include Anxiety Disorder, Autistic Spectrum Disorder, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, and behavioral disorders. She has a firm commitment in promoting effective and functional communication skills for children with developmental disabilities. Crystal is a member of the Metropolitan Who's Who Registry, Counseling Academic & Professional Honor Society International, and National Student Speech Language Hearing Association. Tessa Menken, B.A., SLPA Tessa received her Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree from Arizona State University and her Speech Language Pathology Assistant Certificate from Estrella Mountain Community College. She has been working in special education for 3 years. Tessa is currently working as a Speech Language Pathology Assistant in a local school district, as well as providing home based speech therapy. She has experience treating social/emotional and developmental disabilities in children ranging in age from preschool to high school. Rachel Percox, SLPA Rachel has been working with special needs children for over 10 years. However, her specialty has been working with Autistic children. She received her certification as a Speech Language Pathologist Assistant from Northern Arizona University.
She is a dedicated professional and besides speech therapy has provided habilitation and respite services. She is a lifelong learner and stays very active in her field. In her spare time, she likes to craft and scrap book. Like so many others that have migrated to Arizona, she comes to us from Chicago, Illinois. Though she has been here many years, she feels like a native. Stephanie Perz, B.S., SLPA Stephanie received her Bachelor of Science in Speech and Hearing Science from Arizona State University. Currently, she is earning a Masters of Special Education with Autism Emphasis degree from Arizona State University. She holds a Speech Language Pathologist Assistant license.
Stephanie has worked with children with a variety of diagnoses including Speech/Articulation, Autism Spectrum Disorders, Apraxia, and Central Processing Disorders. She has specialized training in American Sign Language and with Alternative Augmentative Communication, such as devices and PECs. |
